The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management (EAHM) in Dubai has signed a partnership agreement with the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) to offer hospitality students in the UAE a range of accredited hospitality management courses.
Since the signing of the agreement in January EAHM, part of the Dubai based Jumeirah Group, is now able to offer a range of AHLEI’s certified international hospitality certification programs. These courses have been designed to run across a range of positions and management levels, from front of house, supervisory and departmental management.
EAHM director of professional training and development Karyn Williams-Sykes said: “Through this new partnership with AHLEI, the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management is able to offer a range of hospitality training programs that hotels can take advantage of to add value to their existing hotel work forces.
"Investing in your hotels employee’s professional qualifications is the best way to show that increase their value to the business while at the same time showing them that they are.”
“These courses have been designed to appeal to both individuals already working in the hotel industry who are being sponsored by their employers, as a part of organised training programs for a whole hotel groups, or even for people who are looking into starting out in the hospitality industry for the first time or looking to change careers,” added Williams-Sykes.
The AHLEI courses currently available at EAHM include the Guest Service Gold (CGSP), Certified Hospitality Supervisor (CHS) and Certified Hospitality Department Trainer (CHT), with each course consisting of a one-t- four day hands on workshop followed by the fully certified examination.
