Onyx Hospitality Group has signed a partnership with GTA to offer 34 hotels in Asia in addition to Qatar.
The agreement will offer Onyx more distribution opportunities through GTA’s wholesale and retail HTML and XML systems and network of 2,300 local professionals.
Onyx will also benefit from GTA’s Margin Agreement contract, by promoting its best available rates to businesses selling accommodation to travellers around the world.
The deal will help GTA meet increasing global demand for Thailand as a destination. The company’s business to Thailand from mainland China is growing by a third year on year, while business from Hong Kong has more than tripled over a period of two years.
Southeast Asian countries such as Cambodia, Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam are also important source markets for the destination.
GTA senior vice president for global sourcing and product development Martin Jones said: “The Onyx brand portfolio spans budget, mid-scale and luxury hotels, resorts and serviced apartments, ensuring that GTA continues to suit the differing needs of fully independent travellers.
