The Dusit Thani Dubai hotel is inviting budding child artists to design the wrappers for the hotel’s new range of children’s chocolate, which is due to be introduced this summer.
For the new competition, the five-star Thai hotel has joined with the Patchi chocolate company and the Bradenton Prep Academy and American Academy in Dubai to invite any UAE residents aged 12 years and under to draw, colour or paint one of five selected Thai animals (the Asian Black Bear, Asian Elephant, Gibbon, Sunbird and Tiger) with the winning entries being used on the hotel’s new children’s chocolate range to be introduced across the hotel in the coming months.
Dusit Thani Dubai general manager Prateek Kumar said: “We wanted to create something for the kids staying at our hotel which has been heavily influenced by their peers and what better way than to have the chocolate wrappers designed by kids themselves. We are really excited about seeing the entries coming into the hotel.”
The competition is open until 15 August when a judging panel made up of the children of the hotel’s management will decide which of the five entries will win and have their design incorporated as part of the new chocolate wrapper designs. The five winning children will also receive a gift hamper from Patchi and a meal for them and their family at the hotel’s ‘The Californian’ restaurant.
Full guidelines for the the competition can be found on the hotel’s Facebook page while any enquiries for further information can be emailed to: competitions.dtdu@dusit.com.
