UAE's Burger Bureau eyes four outlets by end 2013

Arabian Business staff writer, June 25th, 2013

Abu Dhabi-based Burger Bureau, which promotes itself as the UAE’s first and only locally grown burger restaurant concept, is planning to open at least four more stores in the UAE this year.

The retail firm said it intends to roll out franchise outlets across the region and beyond as part of its expansion plan.
The first outlet opened in November last year and founders Scott Sorensen and Trevor Woodward plan to expand its network of outlets this year.

“Soon our second outlet will be open in Reem Island in Abu Dhabi followed by another one in Khalifa City in the capital. We are also considering to have Burger Bureau outlets in some ADNOC petrol stations as well as Dubai,” Sorensen and Woodward said in a statement.

The company also aims to look at franchise options in order to expand outlets across the region and beyond. Sorensen and Woodward admitted it had been challenging to position a new brand given the stiff competition in the sector.

“We believe in our product 100 percent and we're focused in what we're doing rather than focusing on the current trends”.
