Two weeks left to enter Caterer's Head Chef survey

Devina Divecha, July 30th, 2013

The clock is ticking for head chefs to participate in the fourth annual Caterer Middle East Head Chef Survey with the final date for entries on Monday, August 12, 2013.

This is a yearly comprehensive study aimed solely at top culinary professionals across the Middle East, designed to give chefs in the region a voice and to aid outlets and companies in assessing market trends, industry progress, potential future challenges and chefs’ overall views of operations in the region.

The Head Chef Survey — open to executive chefs and head chefs of single outlets across the region — takes just five minutes to complete. All answers are completely confidential and none of the information provided will be divulged elsewhere.

Results will be published in the September issue of Caterer Middle East.

"Chefs should not miss out on the chance to air their views on the state of the industry," said Caterer Middle East editor Devina Divecha. "Every response provides valuable input that is compiled into an important source of information for F&B outlets in region," she added.

In 2012's survey, 75% of chefs thought more national-born staff needed to be recruited into the industry and food cost, which was a major concern in 2011, dropped down to third place last year. Quality ingredients were highlighted as the most important element to the success of an F&B operation followed by good customer service.
