New GM for Rotana complex at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi

Rotana Hotels has appointed Mark Deere as general manager of Yas Island Rotana and Centro Yas Island.

Deere will manage operations of both properties while also spearheading new initiatives to drive growth at each hotel.

“I am delighted to be here with both teams on Yas Island – the Rotana and Centro. It is an exciting time and the welcome I have received has been very warm. Yas Island is proving to be an increasingly attractive venue for all segments and I look forward to working with everyone here to capitalise on this and drive things forward,” he said.

With more than 26 years’ experience in the industry and holding a BSc honours degree in hotel and catering management, Mark Deere was previously general manager at the Hilton Dubai Creek and headed the team at Hilton Hanoi Opera before joining the team at Arjaan by Rotana as general manager.
