The Iberotel Miramar Al Aqah Beach Resort swept the board with 60 medals at the second “East Coast Culinary & Cocktail Competition” 2013.
The resort hosted the second edition of the competition, where chefs from Fujairah hotels showcased their talent through static culinary displays, edible artistic arrangements and mixology.
With over 11 categories and 100 chefs competing for the 62 Emirates Culinary Guild medals, Iberotel Miramar Al Aqah Beach Resort won 60 of the prizes up for grabs.
"It’s an incredible honour for me to be a part of Iberotel Miramar Al Aqah Beach Resort’s East Coast Culinary & Cocktail Competition, it represents everything I believe in as a chef,” said executive chef at Iberotel Miramar Al Aqah Beach Resort K.A.C. Prasad.
"As chefs, and consumers, we are fortunate to work in a province that is able to produce such a range of ingredients, from fruits, vegetables, dairy products, proteins, breads and much more," he continued.
Competitors were evaluated by a panel of 10 chefs and 50 chef marshals, mandated by the Emirates Culinary Guild (ECG) to judge culinary events.
Iberotel Miramar Al Aqah Beach Resort's GM and area business development manager Ashraf Helmy said, "We are thrilled to bring together the best young talents in the world and give them an opportunity to demonstrate their culinary expertise and creativity to a jury of incredibly accomplished chefs."
