Hilton Worldwide have announced that its luxury Waldorf Astoria hotel brand will make its debut in the UAE when the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah hotel opens its doors on August 1.
Large enough to house 1000 rooms, the Waldorf Astoria RAK only contains 346, making them some of the largest hotel rooms in the UAE, between 72 and 422 square metres.
Speaking at the announcement of the hotel’s opening date, general manger Andre Herrenschmidt said: “Staying at a Waldorf Astoria is all about having fantastic experiences and creating unforgettable memories, and we believe the Waldorf Astoria RAK is set to be a really unique and exceptional hotel. We are in a great location that is only a 50 min drive away from Dubai International airport, and when you arrive we are between a wonderful beach and a fantastic 18-hole golf course.”
Located in the centre of the Al Hamra Village, the resort provides guests with a 350m long private beach, an 18-hole championship golf course and two temperature controlled swimming pools. Inside the hotel will also be 10 food and beverage outlets and a 1,650 square meter spa.
