Massive fire breaks out near Dubai mall

A huge blaze broke out at a Dubai bakery on Sunday morning, according to eyewitness reports on social media.

Users took to website Twitter to post photos of the fire, which was said to be at Modern Bakery in the emirate’s Al Quoz industrial district.

The area is home to a large number of warehouses and other industrial facilities and is close to Mall of the Emirates, one of Dubai’s biggest tourism attractions.

“Fire at Al Quoz, Its getting worse,” wrote one Twitter user, Nandish Jagad.

UPDATE

Contrary to earlier reports, the fire did not start at The Modern Bakery, but instead has engulfed two warehouses belonging to Sana Fashions.
