Dubai police have arrested a suspected drug dealer in his hotel room during a police sting operation, reports Gulf News.
The anti-narcotic department of Dubai Police arrested a drug dealer from his hotel room after receiving a tip off. Police reportedly also recovered 70.6 grams of hashish from the car of the suspect who has been identified only as B.Kh.Sh.
According to Major General Abdul Jalil Mahdi Al Asmawi, director of the anti-narcotic department at Dubai Police, the suspect also admitted to police that he took drugs just two hours before his arrest.
Maj Gen Al Asmawi also said that 16 grams of hashish were found by police in the hotel room, while another amount of drugs was found in the suspect’s apartment in Dubai’s Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT). Small quantities of drugs were found in plastic bags while police also recovered a scale which the suspect reportedly used to weigh the drugs.
The case has been transferred to the public prosecution for further investigation.
