Following the signing of Shaza Doha at Arabian Travel Market 2013, Shaza Hotels has announced the signing of two new hotels – one in Jeddah, KSA and one in Amman, Jordan.

“There has been an increase in demand in recent years for high quality, internationally-branded hotels in the region that encapsulate the values and cultures of the Silk Route, but more precisely the MENA region,” asserted Simon Coombs, president and CEO of Shaza Hotels.

“We have identified Jeddah and Amman, as strategically significant locations for Shaza and we are proud to be associated with these world class projects. In addition to our award winning properties, these hotels will form an essential part of our growing network of hotels.”

The 140-room Shaza Jeddah will boast a triple-story lobby, signature Shaza Hammam and Spa, three new concepts in dining and a ballroom. The property is slated to open in early 2017.

Shaza Amman will be part of a mixed-use complex, featuring a shopping mall and an office tower.

The 203 room property will feature the first suspended restaurant and the largest Hammam and Spa in the city, and is expected to open in the second quarter of 2014.

With an existing portfolio of 11 hotels under development or in operation, and six projects in advanced discussions, Shaza Hotels is aiming to achieve its target of 25 luxury hotels in the next five years.
