Burj Al Arab concierge manager Oscar van der Veen was presented with the Golden Keys by Les Clefs d’ Or for his efforts in providing hotel guests with outstanding service.
He was presented with the keys by Les Clefs d’Or UAE president Charles Ferrer at a special ceremony that was also attended by a representative from Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing.
Commenting on van der Veen’s achievement, Burj Al Arab general manager Heinrich Morio said: “A concierge becomes a Les Clefs d’Or member by perfecting his or her skills and competencies. Oscar’s habits, actions and behaviors are congruent with the size and scope of his vision. That is why I call him a champion.”
“To see Oscar being recognised by Les Clefs d’Or is real testimony to his passion for excellence. His skills, natural flair for excellent customer service, as well as his can-do attitude, have all been praised by our guests. He always has his finger on the pulse,” he added.
Les Clefs d’Or was originally formed in France in 1929 to identify the best concierges in the industry.
