Los Angeles restaurant Koi opens in Abu Dhabi

The UAE branch of the American brand Koi has opened at The Collection on Saadiyat, serving contemporary Japanese cuisine and adding to the restaurant group's portfolio of high-profile branches in Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas and Bangkok.

Koi Group CEO Nick Haque said: “Koi is renowned worldwide for serving the best in contemporary Japanese cuisine in a setting that is equally as exciting as it is relaxed. We are excited to bring our successful concept from Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas and Bangkok to Abu Dhabi as our first Middle East venture.

The 700m2 Abu Dhabi venue it is the region’s flagship branch featuring a dedicated sushi bar, cocktail lounge and terraces for outdoor dining. 

The menu includes traditional sushi and sashimi as well as Koi’s contemporary take on Japanese cuisine including the Koi Dragon Roll and Spicy Rock Shrimp Tempura and Koi signatures dishes featuring the Koi Crispy Rice and Lobster Tacos.

At Koi Abu Dhabi, fire and water elements at the entrance are followed by the lounge inside, offering a variety of funky seating options for pre-dinner drinks or casual dining. A bamboo wall divides the lounge and restaurant where diners will find the sushi counter, casual tables and Koi signature booths.
