Qatar police have reportedly arrested several suspects over the death of a British teacher who was last seen leaving Doha’s La Cigale hotel late at night with a group of unidentified men.
Lauren Patterson, 24, went missing a week ago after a night out and her body was found shortly afterwards, according to press reports.
Patterson’s boyfriend reportedly raised the alarm, launching a campaign over social media to locate her before the body was found.
In a statement, the Gulf state's Ministry of Interior said police had made arrests and the case had been referred to Public Prosecution.
It did not say how many people were detained or list their nationalities.
