Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Dubai to open soon

The Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Dubai is preparing to welcome its first guests as part of its soft opening this month.

The 25-storey, 188-room hotel and suites, located in the heart of Jumeirah Beach Residence The Walk, will mark the entry of the first Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham brand to the UAE, introduced by R Hotels, the hotels and hotel management subsidiary of Ajman-based R Holding LLC.

Sumair Tariq, managing director, R Hotels said: “We are finalising the hotel’s interiors, placing furniture and amenities and doing daily test runs throughout our various facilities to ensure that we are prepared to welcome our guests. We have already hired and trained our team who will oversee the soft opening of Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Dubai this month. JBR, the Walk is an amazing destination and we are very excited to be part of this development, we believe Hawthorn Suites will provide our guests a refreshed hospitality experience".

He added: "We are expecting to achieve 80 per cent occupancy during our first year of operations. We look forward to delivering a safe and enjoyable experience that exceeds our guests’ expectations.”

R Hotels previously announced an investment plan of AED 1.5 billion (US $408mn) towards hotel development and acquisition and plans to double their existing portfolio in the next couple of years.

“We are excited to be opening our second property in less than a year and we are on track to meet our acquisition and development targets”, said Tariq.

Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Dubai will offer deluxe rooms, one- and two-bedroom suites, a penthouse and lofts with panoramic views of both the sea and Dubai Marina. In addition to in-room kitchenettes, an all-day dining restaurant with inside and outside seating, a coffee shop and 24-hour room service ensure guests are well catered to throughout the duration of their stay.

Guests staying at the hotel will also enjoy wireless internet access, an outdoor swimming pool, separate male and female spa areas, gym and meeting rooms, as well as having the benefit of free parking.

Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Dubai is R Hotel’s second property in Dubai and also the second property that opened in the UAE this year, after Ramada Beach Hotel Ajman.
