Parinaaz Navdar, October 21st, 2013

Rami Sayess has been appointed regional vice president and general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Doha.

A graduate of the Les Roches International School of Hotel Management, Sayess was previously the general manager at the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok, following stints in Saudi Arabia and Jordan with the hotel chain over the last eight years.

Prior to joining Four Seasons, Sayess worked with Movenpick Hotels and Resorts in Beirut and Kuwait and Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Bahrain. His international experience includes a stint with Mandarin Oriental in London, Beachcomber in Mauritius and InterContinental Hotels in London and Geneva. He has also worked with Abjar Hotels International in Dubai.

Commenting on his appointment, Sayess said: “I am excited to be back in the region after two years in Thailand. With Qatar growing as a business destination and winning the rights to host the FIFA World Cup soccer tournament in 2022, it is a privilege to work here in the hospitality sector at this time.”

Les Roches International School of Hotel Management CEO Sonia Tatar added: “We congratulate Rami on his new appointment and his achievements. “Rami’s career speaks loudly of his dedication to hospitality and the quality education he received at Les Roches. He is a great example of the leaders we are bringing into the hospitality industry today.”

Sayess replaces Simon Casson, who is moving to Dubai to take the helm of the upcoming Four Seasons resort on Jumeirah Beach Road.
