Hansgrohe launches bathroom planning app

David Edgcumbe, November 4th, 2013

Bathroom specialist Hansgrohe SE has released the new Hansgrohe@home app, which aims to provide users with a fun and creative planning process by letting them step into their virtual bathroom.

The new app, which is available for iPad, iPhone and Android devices, allows users to virtually design their shower area and wash basin zone by taking a photo of a existing wash basin or shower area and removing the mixers and showerheads they want to replace with a simple finger swipe. They can select their desired product from the current Hansgrohe product portfolio and virtually place it in the desired location.

Hansgrohe Middle East sales director Dirk Schilmoeller said: “Users can choose between shower sets with mixers, combinations of hand and overhead showers, as well as a pre-assembled showerpipe integrating all the components in a single system.”

“The Hansgrohe@home app is just as useful away from home. When visiting bathroom showrooms, it’s so easy and quick to try out if the desired mixer suits a particular wash basin, or which shower cabin makes for an ideal match for a Hansgrohe shower solution,” added Schilmoeller.

Using the app, mixers and even the shower solutions can be rotated and scaled to suit. The finished photo of the dream bathroom solution can then be sent by e-mail, and stored for later use.

The app also provides information about products and links directly to Facebook and Twitter, for those wanting to share their bathroom dreams with others.

The “Hansgrohe@home 3.0” app is available in 13 languages and can be downloaded free of charge from the Android Marketplace via Google Play and from the iTunes Store.
