Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Middle East & Africa has signed an enhanced distribution agreement with GTA, allowing the hotel group to take advantage of GTA’s wholesale and retail HTML and XML systems and network of more 2,300 travel professionals around the world.
According to a statement by GTA, the company saw room nights booked in the Middle East increase 25% in 2012, with Jordan, Oman, the UAE and Saudi Arabia showing particularly healthy growth.
Commenting on the partnership, GTA vice president for EMEA FIT hotel sourcing James Phillips said: “Our new partnership with Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Middle East & Africa means our customers can book an even greater choice of accommodation for their clients. The agreement is key to GTA’s longevity and success as we tap a number of important trends. It helps us offer an even wider range of accommodation options in rising and strong destinations.”

GTA’s partnership with hotel chains gives travel professionals access to the chain’s full portfolio of properties, including accommodation in less familiar locations. In the last three years, GTA’s partnerships with 69 chains have added more than 29,000 properties to the inventory that agents and tour operators can sell on.
