Asian hotel group Amari has launched an online booking site in Arabic to encourage Arabic-speaking guests to book directly.
With 2013 bookings by Gulf-based travelers at Amari properties up by 10% compared to last year, the launch is hoped to encourage further growth of the Arabian Gulf market.
ONYX Hospitality Group vice president, strategic marketing and e-commerce Chetan Patel commented: “The Middle East remains a region of continued growing importance for ONYX Hospitality Group and our Amari hospitality brand, both in terms of a growing guest and client base, as well as for investment and property development.
“With our initial Middle East Amari property having opened in Doha, Qatar in January 2013, we are now well established and at home in the region. The launch of an Arabic online booking site was the next logical step for further integration, outreach and expansion.”
Amari properties, which form the centerpiece of the ONYX group, currently span Thailand and Qatar with further openings confirmed for Bal,i Indonesia and Ludhiana, India.
