New GM takes the reins at Conrad Dubai

Andreas Jersabeck, currently serving as general manager at Hilton Doha in Qatar, has been appointed as the new general manager of the recently opened Conrad Dubai.

With 38 years Hilton Worldwide experience, Jersabeck is an industry veteran with a wealth of international hospitality experience across a range of continents and countries including UK, Egypt, Austria, Japan, UAE, Croatia, Greece, Kiev, Qatar and UAE.

Hilton Worldwide also announced three other GM appointments across properties in the UAE, Qatar and Egypt.

Speaking about the appointments Hilton Worldwide Middle East & Africa president Rudi Jagersbacher said: “I am proud and delighted at the strength of international industry experience we see in today’s announcement. Our four leaders have proved themselves as capable, talented professionals with the right skills to enhance the leisure and business offering at their respective hotels.”

Taking up the reins at Hilton Doha will be Adham El Sebaey, currently serving as general manager at Hilton Al Ain, UAE.

With a 25-year Hilton Worldwide background, El Sebaey has enjoyed a strong international career which has taken him from his native Egypt to Cameroon and Sudan in Africa and a trans-Atlantic journey to Hilton Curacao in Mexico and Hilton Barbados in the Caribbean.

Hilton Al Ain will welcome another seasoned hospitality operator following the appointment of Jacques Claudel as general manager.

Claudel, a graduate of Strasbourg’s renowned hotel school, has worked with Hilton Worldwide for 19 years across key markets in France and Morocco and, more recently, as general manager at the company’s biggest hotel in Ras Al Khaimah, the 475-room Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa.

Transferring across the city as general manager of Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa is Raouf Benchedli, currently general manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Ras Al Khaimah.

Chedli first joined Hilton Worldwide in 1999 with Hilton Toronto in Canada and then enjoyed a hospitality career path which took him to St Lucia, Tunisia and Egypt before arriving in UAE in 2011.

During his tenure at DoubleTree by Hilton Ras Al Khaimah, Benchedli helped shape the hotel’s CSR programme which led to a cluster of community involvement awards in the past two years.
