Makkah Hilton & Towers was awarded the Team Member Relations Best Practice Award for its learning and development programme at Hilton Worldwide’s Blue Energy Middle East & Africa Awards.

The week-long interactive development program, part of the hotel’s annual Learning and Development Week, was designed to deliver additional training to more than 300 hotel team members. The training focused on developing staff communication skills in line with Hilton values to ensure the continuous delivery of the highest level of service for guests.

Commenting on the award, Hilton Makkah & Towers general manager Ibrahim Alfati said: “Seeing the team members’ enthusiasm during the Makkah Hilton & Towers Learning and Development Week highlights the importance of fun and interactive learning methods in career development programmes. In receiving this regional award, we celebrate the actions that increase levels of guest satisfaction and team member engagement. The Blue Energy Awards are granted to one hotel in each category across the region and aim to acknowledge the success of the group’s hotels as they introduce new initiatives at individual properties.

Following the success of the Makkah Hilton & Towers’ Learning and Development Week, the program will now be rolled out at Hilton hotels across KSA.
