Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, the Hilton Worldwide luxury hotel brand, has announced the opening of the Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah hotel.
The 319-room hotel becomes the brand’s first property in Dubai and its second in the UAE, with the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah having opened last year.
Speaking about the opening Hilton Worldwide global head of luxury and lifestyle brands John T.A. Vanderslice said: “Waldorf Astoria’s celebrated lineage combined with the brand’s definition of luxury is enjoyed by discerning global luxury travellers worldwide. The increasing number of international arrivals into Dubai and the growing aspiration of visitors to explore the Emirate’s iconic island has created a demand which we can readily satisfy with the opening of Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah.”
Positioned on the East Crescent of the Palm Jumeirah man-made island, guests at the hotel will be able to choose from a selection of six restaurants and bars including the New York inspired Social by Heinz Beck eatery by multi-award winning European chef and author Heinz Beck.
The hotel other F&B options include Lao’s south-east Asian contemporary dining; Mezzerie, with locally-inspired arabesque dining at its most luxurious; Palm Avenue and Serafina, an authentic and refined Venetian offering. The centrepiece of the hotel is Peacock Alley, named after the famous high-society promenade lounge which connected the original Waldorf and Astoria hotels in New York.

Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah also offers a range of recreational facilities including tennis, a full range of water sports, a 200 meter private beach, two temperature-controlled outdoor pools and a Waldorf Astoria Spa.
Other key hotel features include eight naturally-lit meeting spaces and a 600-capacity, multi-purpose ballroom.
