Tilal Liwa Hotel to take part in green festival

Danat Hotels & Resorts’ Tilal Liwa Hotel, Abu Dhabi will participate in the UAE Green Festival from March 16 – April 16 in a bid to show its commitment to sustainable practices.

The hotel joins a host of other hotels across the seven emirates including Atlantis, The Palm, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha, and TI'ME Hotels, all of which are taking part in the festival’s ‘Green Stay’ initiative. Throughout the festival, participating hotels will offer green menus, tours, services, amenities and packages among other things.

Ayman Ashor, General Manager, Tilal Liwa Hotel, said: “We commend the UAE government for launching the UAE Green Festival, a countrywide green celebration to support the UAE’s identity as a leading green destination.

“We are excited to participate in this festival and we are already preparing different sustainable practices and activities to support the festival. Our green packages will ensure that our guests will be part of this initiative that intends to provide residents and visitors a better quality of life by protecting and preserving our Mother Earth.”

To show its support, Tilal Liwa Hotel will offer green packages to guests who stay at the property during the festival. Visitors will receive a 15% discount on best room rate and a 20% discount on treatments at the Body & Soul Health Club.

The Green Festival will also provide government bodies and private entities with a platform for knowledge exchange and discussion of issues related to sustainable development.

Awareness activities will take place across the emirates such as green shopping, where retailers will promote their eco-friendly products and highlight their own green initiatives, and an international green food market at Al Qasba, Sharjah, where vendors will offer organic and eco-friendly products.
