“As an international supplier, one of the key challenges we foresee will be convincing customers to buy the products while there are local products in the market. We have to prove the quality of the products without affecting the image or going into price wars,” he states.
Over the next year, Sleep High will focus on projects in the hospitality industry, while growing its range of speciality mattresses and hybrid options, increasing the presence of eco-friendly lines, and focusing on coolness and temperature control.

RESTONIC
Restonic has recently launched its signature mattress under the Comfort Care collection. The company’s latest initiative is to emphasise eco-friendly products and as a social responsibility programme towards green hotels, Restonic has incorporated green latex and ‘outlast’ technology in its mattresses, which reduces overheating and provides thermal compatibility for a better sleep experience.
The company is also rapidly expanding in the GCC with new stores opening in Riyadh, Jeddah, Damman, Doha and Abu Dhabi.
With growing demand in the hospitality industry and export market, Restonic has grown its strength by commissioning the latest machinery to meet the highest level of quality and customer service.

RIVOLTA CARMIGNANI
Rivolta Carmignani was founded in 1867 with the aim of offering high quality and stylish Italian bed, bath and table linens to hotels and restaurants around the world.

INTERCOIL

HYPNOS LTD
Hypnos has been one of the leading bedding suppliers to the hospitality industry in the UK for several years, and has set its sights on international expansion, beginning with the GCC. Since Hypnos is new to the GCC market, the products offered by the company are all new.
As part of its expansion into the GCC, Hypnos has set up a network of manufacturing partners, such as Rekore in Dubai, which allows it to manufacture locally and overcome the logistical challenges related to the supply of mattresses and divans.
Hypnos Ltd director of international sales Olivier Brommet explains: “Hoteliers understand that the bed is the single most important item in any hotel room since it is where the guest typically spends most of their time.
We find that with this understanding comes a willingness to pay more for a good product.
However, the cost of the supply chain is often a stumbling block, so by having a manufacturing facility in the GCC, we are able to reduce the hotelier’s costs, we can offer an installation service, and more importantly, an excellent and fast after-sales service, in the unlikely event that there is a problem with a bed.”
While the products are manufactured locally, the quality is controlled from the UK by way of frequent visits from the production team. This strategy, backed by the company’s reputation and its Royal Warrant from Queen Elizabeth II, makes Hypnos a strong competitor in the market.
As part of its offering in the region, Hypnos has taken the five best-selling mattresses from its European range and slightly adapted them to suit the Middle Eastern market. Examples include the Evesham 1000 pocket sprint mattress that has been a consistently strong seller for Hypnos.

DUBAI FURNITURE MANUFACTURING COMPANY LLC
Dubai Furniture Manufacturing Company LLC (DFMC) is a multinational company with its corporate office in Dubai, UAE, and sister companies located in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman.

Another new product introduced by DFMC is a bed bug proof mattress encasements with a zipper locking system, which protects the mattress from bugs and is water resistant.
The company also conducts training programmes for hotel housekeeping staff, offering tips on mattress maintenance and protection.
