Abu Dhabi's Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) has floated a pre-qualification invite to build a four-star hotel in the Western Region.
This is purely for main contract works and, as well as the hotel, includes a souk, stand-alone lodges and staff accommodation.
The hotel will be a 100-key property, souk with retail, restaurants and mixed-use space. The lodges development includes 10 seperate units with a dining facility and the staff accommodation block.
The main contractor will be required to take care of the concrete superstructure, structural steelwork, MEP works, kitchen fit-out, specialist security installation, interior fit-out works and external works with swimming pools and landscaping.
Interested parties will need to show relevant experience on similar projects. The deadline to pre-qualify is 22 April 2014.
Earlier this month, TDIC revealed that one of its other major cultural projects, the Louvre Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island, had reached a key milestone, with the completion of the first gallery.
