InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is set to expand in Doha with the addition of Holiday Inn Doha — The Business Park Hotel, a 347-room property scheduled to open in 2016.
General manager of Crowne Plaza Doha — The Business Park Savino Leone told Hotelier Middle East: “We are happy to announce the following: completion of the bidding process for the new Holiday Inn Doha - The Business Park hotel, which will be linked to Crowne Plaza Doha - The Business Park through the basement”.
He added that a new “café/restaurant” was planned for The Business Park, “which will have an innovative concept and design that has not been introduced yet in Qatar”.
Leone was speaking to Hotelier ahead of the Hotelier Middle East Qatar Hospitality Summit, being held on April 15 at Grand Hyatt Doha, at which the general manager will speak on a panel discussion entitled ‘Delivering world class customer service’.
On competing among the swelling Doha hotel portfolio, he said: “We believe that our property will maintain and grow its presence in the market through offering consistent service and quality in addition to keeping up with new trends to enhance the facilities and services accordingly.
“Introducing new hotels to the market in Qatar is exciting because it creates a healthy competitive atmosphere. Established hotels will continue their success by focusing on guest loyalty and consistent quality. New hotels will make their mark by offering something unique that does not already exist in the market”.
