Bin Majid Hotels and Resorts is to open its second hotel in Abu Dhabi later this year, with the addition of Bin Majid Tower to its portfolio.

The hotel, part of a AED400mn (US$108.9mn)  expansion plan to support the growing tourism industry, will feature 230 deluxe hotel apartments, furnished and equipped to international standards. It will have designated rooms for disabled guests and connecting rooms for families travelling together.

“This latest investment in Bin Majid Tower in Abu Dhabi demonstrates Bin Majid Hotel Group’s commitment to the country’s growing tourism sector and more widely to the overall tourism market,” said Bin Majid Hotels and Resorts COO Dr Ali Kasapbashi.

“We are actively exploring other opportunities to expand our footprint in UAE through the expansion of all our brands and are very excited about these latest additions to our portfolio. With the new properties and upcoming ones in the pipeline, we will soon be recognised as a leading hotel and leisure company in the UAE and the region.”

The company already operates Nehal Hotel in Abu Dhabi, as well as four hotels in Ras Al Khaimah. This latest investment is part of its strategy to expand its footprint globally and increase its presence in Abu Dhabi.

Bin Majid Tower will target all market segments, including leisure travellers, families, group travel and corporate functions. It will offer guests express check-in and check-out, car rentals, a fitness centre and health club, spa, ladies saloon and a meeting/conference room facility for business and private functions.
