Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts appointed Anthony Tyler as general manager at Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh.
A British National raised in Switzerland, Tyler comes to Saudi Arabia with 20 years’ experience in hospitality roles globally.
He replaces Greg Pirkle, who has moved to Bahrain to lead the pre-opening team at Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay as general manager of the new property. It is expected to open its doors in the final quarter of 2014.
Tyler, who recently moved to Riyadh with his wife May and their two children, said: “It’s great to return to the Middle East and I look forward to working in Riyadh, where I will endeavour to ensure that the Hotel continues to enhance Four Seasons reputation as a premier luxury destination wherever we operate.”
Following hospitality roles in Bangkok, Dubai, Hong Kong, Jakarta and Switzerland, Tyler joined Four Seasons 13 years ago at The Regent, Kuala Lumper.
His food and beverage background then took him to Four Seasons Hotel Amman and Four Seasons Resort Maui before his promotion to Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica.
From there he moved to the role of hotel manager in Chicago before joining Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh as hotel manager in November 2013.
