UAE brand Shakespeare and Co. has opened its first café-restaurant in Amman, Jordan, the fifth location in which the franchise now has a presence.
The new venue is sited on Zahran Street, 3rd Circle in Amman, and Shakespeare and Co. has partnered with Y&Y Hospitality for the venture. The Jordan franchise will offer the same menu as in the UAE.
Y&Y Hospitality CEO Yasser Zein said: "Shakespeare and Co. is a perfect fit for the F&B industry in Jordan; not only does it offer great food but the atmosphere of the restaurant cannot be duplicated."
"It has been a pleasure and an honour to work with the staff of Shakespeare and Co. in Dubai. They are all very professional and have made the entire process of opening the Amman branch easy."
The freestanding historical villa where the franchise is housed has three levels. The ground floor has a private garden terrace while the second level has a dining room, and the kitchen area.
The third level features a glass encased rooftop terrace with a shisha bar. With splashes of pastel blues and beige and accents of gold the Amman franchise resembles a palace of Victorian royalty.
The Shakespeare and Co concept was home-grown in the UAE and launched the first outlet in Dubai in 2001. The brand has expanded through the UAE, USA, Oman, Qatar, Lebanon and Jordian, and will soon be opening in Iraq, Kuwait and Egypt.
