Paramount to open first UAE property in 2016

Paramount Hotels & Resorts will open its first property Damac Towers by Paramount Hotels & Resorts Dubai in 2016, overlooking the Burj Khalifa.

The first property in the UAE will feature the 771- room Paramount Hotel Dubai and three 350-key serviced residences towers, under the helm of PHR-FZ LLC, under license by Paramount Licensing Inc.

Senior executives from Hollywood’s Paramount Pictures toured the site of the group’s signature property this week.

Mike Bartok, executive vice president licensing at Paramount Pictures said: ”Everyone at the studio is excited to see the brand’s flagship location rising from the ground and we look forward to the coming months as the tower superstructures take shape. We could not be more pleased with the fact that our first units are under development with Damac Properties, which we know will deliver world-class properties and luxurious guest experiences.”

PHR-FZ LLC currently has six properties under development across the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, China and Malaysia.

Scheduled to open in 2016, Damac Villas by Paramount Hotels & Resorts in Dubai will feature 163 villas designed by Paramount Hotels & Resorts and operated by Damac Maison.

Paramount Hotel Jumeirah Waterfront is located in Dubai Maritime City and will feature a 404-room hotel as well as five restaurants and lounges.

The 519-key, all-suite Paramount Resort Boao in China will open in 2017 and will be located adjacent to the resort’s Aquatic Park.

The Damac Tower by Paramount Hotels & Resorts Riyadh is the group’s first residential project and will feature 235 residences designed by Paramount Hotels & Resorts.

The latest addition to the group’s portfolio is the Paramount Resort Langkawi, a private island resort just off the coast of Langkawi, which will feature 214 rooms, suites and over-water villas. The group is expected to break ground on the site before the end of this year.
