Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea in Jordan has named Dr Suraj Dubey as the new director of spa and wellness at its Zara Spa.

He has previously held management positions with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, Club Mahindra and Ananda in the Himalayas.

Over the past 15 years, Suraj has been involved in hands-on operations, group leadership in spa and wellness conceptualisation and brand development.

"I am passionate about holistic health and wellness concepts like Ayurveda and yoga, so am looking forward to introduce some of these in Zara Spa," said Dubey.

"Developing these therapies for a global audience and incorporating therapeutic Dead Sea ingredients will go in a long way in expanding the appeal of these positive wellness programmes with the addition of a fitting regional element."

Zara Spa offers more than 70 different à la carte experiences and 31 treatment rooms. Features include thermariums, tropical rain showers and mud treatment suites, as well as hydro, flotation, foot massage and infinity pools.
