Jumeirah Beach Hotel appoints new hotel manager

Jumeirah Group has made two senior management appointments, including a new hotel manager at Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

Chris Ely is returning to Dubai to take on the role, having been with the company since 2005. For the past two years he has been general manager at Jumeirah Dhevanafushi in the Maldives, having joined the pre-opening team in 2010 as director of operations.

In his new role, effective from July 23, British national Ely willl support general manager Mahmoud Sakr with the day-to-day operations of the hotel.

The position of general manager at Jumeirah Dhevanafushi is being taken up by David Stepetic, who joins the company from Laucala Island Resort in Fiji, where he has been General Manager for the past two years.

The American national has more than 26 years’ experience in the industry, 19 of which were with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in the Maldives, Tokyo and the United States.

In his new position David will lead the team and continue to build on the success and reputation of the Maldives resort.
