Crystal Chesters, July 9th, 2014

Crowne Plaza Dubai has announced the promotion of Georges Farhat from hotel manager to general manager on a permanent basis.

Farhat, who has been acting general manager for the last six months, officially takes over from the previous general manager James Young, who has moved to the InterContinental Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Farhat has been with the company and the hotel for many years, having started his career with IHG at Crowne Plaza Dubai 20 years ago.

He has spent his career rising through the ranks in the hotel from leadership roles in front office and sales, to a position as EAM, followed by resident manager, hotel manager and finally general manager.

In his free time Farhat enjoys keeping fit, cooking, and traveling. He lives in Dubai with his wife and three children.
