David Wrenn Interiors Ltd, a UK-based hotel interior design company, is set to open a Dubai office in quarter one 2015 in Dubai Design District (D3).
The company already has a number of Middle East projects in its portfolio, including Grand Millennium Sulaimani, Kurdistan, which opened in March, and Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residence, set to open next year. Design of a five-star project in Business Bay, which cannot be revealed at this stage, is currently underway.
David Wrenn, founder of David Wrenn Interiors commented: “Opening our office in Dubai is a fulfilment of a plan to bring ourselves closer to our clients and their projects and embodies a dream, which holds great expectations.”
David Wrenn Interiors CEO Roger Williams has already relocated to Dubai to begin the marketing and recruitment process.
“We have been designing hotels in the [Middle East] region for around 36 years and in the main this has been achieved from our offices in the UK," said Williams. "Clearly this is not ideal, so in order for us to offer the best possible service to our clients have located ourselves at the heart of the region where 95% of our work is.
“Things are moving fast here and we are keen to make our mark. In recent times our projects have been in the Middle East but outside of the UAE and this is something we want to address. Dubai is the perfect base for working closer with old and new clients in the wider region.”
Williams added that the company has also worked on a number of F&B outlets within hotels and it may tap into standalone restaurants in the region.
Additionally, the company has access to a huge library of artwork and artefacts and is keen to develop this area of our business.
According to Williams, news of the company’s new Dubai office has received a positive response from clients, and Williams looks forward to setting up in Dubai’s Design District. He commented: “D3 is going to be such an amazing place to work from. I see huge benefits for our staff and clients alike just from being at the centre of this dynamic development.”
Wrenn added that the company has no plans to close its UK office, although a few members of the UK-based design team will relocate to Dubai to ensure continuity of standards.
