Frioul Bistro de Luxe to open at Madinat Jumeirah

Hospitality group Utopia is launching a home-grown concept called Frioul Bistro de Luxe at Souk Madinat Jumeirah.

Open from breakfast until late, this restaurant, bar and lounge will reflect influences from the South of France, drawing inspiration from the Frioul islands off the coast of Marseilles.

The kitchen will be led by Brian Hughson, previously of the Dorchester Collection in the UK.

The interiors use natural materials and a lot of natural light, with a large terrace offering al fresco dining during cooler months. It will also provide contemporary jazz music that includes international and local talent.

Utopia was established in 2008 and is owned by Viva Entertainment (The VIVA group was founded in 1974). The firm will also be launching Pacha Ibiza Dubai in Q4 2014.
