After the opening of the inaugural Jazz@PizzaExpress outlet in JLT Dubai, the brand is now opening as TheJazzRoom@PizzaExpress in Abu Dhabi later this year.

The contract to secure a 700 square metres space on the fifth floor of the World Trade Centre Mall was signed on July 31, and the space will have both an indoor seating area and an outdoor terrace.

"With the popularity and success we have experienced in Dubai, we felt that Abu Dhabi was the next logical destination, largely because it has a thriving food, beverage and hospitality market.

"We believe there is more than sufficient demand and the right target audience for our unique concept," said Pizza Express UAE MD Anand Radia.

The licensed restaurant will feature its regular range of authentic Italian dishes with live musical entertainment – both local and international. It will become the eighth Pizza Express outlet to open in the UAE.

It is scheduled to open in Q4 of this year, and will have the capacity to cater for up to 220 diners at any one time.

"The Pizza Express vision and experience has provided many thousands of diners in Dubai with something very different and we now want to bring this to the capital. On top of the wide selection of dishes on our menu, there is no doubt the caliber of musicians and artistes we attract has been integral to our growth," added Radia.

The World Trade Centre Mall is located in the Old Central Market area, and opened in August last year.
