Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi has appointed British national Leon Baum as its new hotel manager.
Baum, who previously held the same position at Ciragan Palace Kempinski Istanbul, will work alongside general manager Holger Schroth, who has been at Emirates Palace since 2013.
He brings with him 17 years of hospitality experience and started his Kempinski career in 2006, where he worked his way up to the position of general manager at The Stafford London by Kempinski.
Schroth said: “We are delighted to welcome Leon to Emirates Palace. With an illustrious career highlighted by quick growth, and experience holding senior positions in two of Kempinski’s leading properties, it is befitting that Leon joins us at Emirates Palace. He is a proven operations leader, and I am confident that he will contribute greatly to the success of the Palace for our guests and owners”.
Baum will be responsible for daily operations at the hotel, which comprises 394 rooms, 15 F&B outlets, 1.3km of private beach, and 23,000 square feet of meetings and conference space.
