Intercontinental Doha gets new marketing manager

Marta Burdiel Gutierrez has joined the team at Intercontinental Doha as he new PR & marketing mamager.

In her new role, Gutierrez will oversee the conception, coordinatiopn, and execution of the 258-key hotel’s marketing and community relations plans, which will include campaigns, branding, press releases, direct mail, and advertising and marketing.

Gutierrez has more than seven years' industry experience, and was most recently the events manager at the World Gourmet Summit in Singapore, where she was in charge of the coordination of the event as well as the Awards of Excellence, and Wine & Restaurant Experience.

Her experience includes preparation and delivery of websites, marketing collateral, and electronic and social media.

Commenting on her experience, Intercontinental Doha director of sales and marketing Cyril Mouawad said: “With her experience and strong belief in InterContinental as a leading brand, she will be a perfect fit for the role.”

Gutierrez began her hospitality career in Italy, where she specialised in hospitality communication at the Slow Food University in Colomo.

She then joined the International Summit of Gastronomy, Madridfusion, where she worked with Michelin-starred chefs, before moving to Singapore.
