Shakespeare and Co expands on The Pearl, Qatar

Shakespeare and Co. has opened its second branch at The Pearl Qatar, with a design specifically created for the location.

The design and décor of the restaurant is still inspired by the Victorian era, and has luxurious fabrics covering the elegant designs, with chandeliers and vintage centrepieces.

Shakespeare and Co. CEO Sami Azrak said: "We are very excited to finally announce the opening of our Pearl outlet. After receiving such great feedback and support from our loyal customers and a growing fan base; we just had to expand.

"This outlet is a not only one of the biggest in the stable of Shakespeare and Co. restaurants, but also has the greatest location, including a private terrace overlooking one of the most beautiful spots in Qatar. We are very proud of our work on this project and cannot wait to share it with the people of Qatar, we know it will soon be a very popular destination in Doha."

The new branch features a terrace of 150 square metres of outdoor patio with a lush covered garden.This terrace can be used for private occasions and gatherings and includes a separate entrance.

Azrak said: "Our team of expert designers and skilled artists invested so much time and effort to come up with this exquisite design and layout that was first put onto paper a year ago. The team made a huge effort to create the handmade designer wall that introduces this unique design.

"A large number of crystals and fine pieces were used in the chandeliers and centrepieces and a selection of the most luxurious selection of fabrics were used in covering our artisan Victorian furniture."

The Pearl branch is located at Porto Arabia, The Pearl, Qatar, with a plan of expansion with two additional branches including Northgate Mall in 2015 and Qatar Mall in 2016.
