Qatar-based hotel developer Katara Hospitality has been recognised for its performance both at home and internationally with a prestigious business award.
The company was named ‘Hospitality Company of the Year’ at the Arabian Business Qatar Awards 2014 last week.

"As Qatar's flagship hospitality company that is leading the development of the local hospitality sector, our goal is to leave an outstanding legacy for generations to come. We are developing world class hotels in Qatar that are relevant not only for our portfolio, but emblematic for the country as well."

It acquired five well-known properties in key European cities earlier this year, including the InterContinental Carlton Cannes, the InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam and the InterContinental Madrid.
In August, Katara reopened the Peninsula Paris, following an extensive four-year restoration project.
