Christian Zandonella has The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel & Spa as the new general manager at the property, replacing Mark Neukomm.
He arrives in Bahrain from The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto, where he was hotel manager, having previously worked at the brand’s properties in Cancun, Grand Cayman, the Hotel Arts, Barcelona and Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton, Reserve.
His predecessor Neukomm has taken on the role of general manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow.
“With the continued support of our ownership - International Hotels Establishment -, and his passion for quality, Christian will be an asset to further enhance the position of Bahrain as the converging hub of the Gulf region,” said The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company Area Vice President of the Middle East and Africa Ibrahim Barghout.
Zandonella began his career in hospitality as an apprentice in Munich, Germany, before joining The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in 2004 at The Ritz-Carlton Cancun.
An Italian native, he gre up mostly in Germany and speaks fluent English, German, Italian and French.
