Banyan Tree RAK complex appoints new GM

Axel Jarosch has joined the team at Banyan Tree Al Wadi and Banyan Tree Ras Al Khaimah Beach as the new general manager.

Jarosch brings more than 20 years’ experience to his new role, six of which were in the Middle East.

Prior to joining Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, he was general manager at Six Senses Zighy Bay in Oman. He was previously operations director at Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas, and before this was general manager with Anantara in Oman, Bali, and Indonesia during the pre-openings.

He has also held managerial positions at Per Aquum, Constance Hotels, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. He has worked in Sri Lanka, the Seychelles, Namibia, and Mauritius.

In his new role, Jarosch will work with both resort teams to oversee management and operations and ensure a high standard of guest satisfaction while achieving business targets.

He holds a bachelor’s Degree in international hotel economics and hospitality from Fritz Gabler Hotelfachschule Heidelberg and qualifications from Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn.
