Parinaaz Navdar, October 19th, 2014

Home-grown concept Zaya Retreats is set to welcome visitors from November, director of operations Stephen Gee confirmed to Hotelier Middle East.

The 32-villa boutique hotel property, located on Abu Dhabi’s Nurai Island, was first announced in December 2013, and will add to the island’s residential offering.

According to Gee, rates will begin from AED 4000-4500++ per night, and the hotel will start taking bookings next month. Each villa features a private sun deck, plunge pool, and fire pit, with direct access to the beach.

The company will also unveil a new brand identity with a refreshed website before it opens in November.

When it opens, Zaya Retreats will offer a beach-side all-day dining restaurant called Nurai’s Terrace, with a shisha deck and pool-side tables, as well as a kids club. A second F&B outlet, Deli, will open in Q1 of 2015, along with the hotel’s spa. The island’s third F&B outlet, a fine-dining concept, will open in Q3 of 2015.

Nurai Island, a private island off the coast of Abu Dhabi houses 32 stand-alone holiday villas, 12 water villas, and 23 beach estates.
