As part of its employee well-being program, The Ajman Palace Hotel has given a make-over to its staff canteen naming it ‘Tapeteria’.
The facility was inaugurated by H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Faisal Al Qassimi, chairman and CEO of MANAFA LLC, and vice chairman of Hospitality Management Holdings, who also joined the team over lunch.
Ajman Palace Hotel general manager, Ferghal Purcell, said: “Caring for our people begins at the most fundamental level and a decent canteen is basic. It is like a family dining room that allows them to come together and relax, share their day over a coffee or simply chill out having access to internet in between work shifts.
"It is not just a question of staff perks. The physical and mental health and well-being of our associates is extremely important. Therefore, the fare on offer in the canteen and the atmosphere there has been very carefully looked into for we believe it will transform the way one feels about work and how well one performs.”
The canteen was decorated by the employees, who transformed the place using vibrant colours. The new canteen also includes a wall to showcase a souvenir from each country.
