Parinaaz Navdar, December 11th, 2014

Twenty staff members from Grand Millennium Dubai joined the Clean Up UAE campaign organised by the Emirates Environmental Group as part of the hotel’s social responsibility programme.

The Clean Up UAE initiative is a nationwide campaign that aims to create awareness among the local community about environmental issues with special emphasis on waste management, waste reduction, and recycling.

Grand Millennium Dubai general manager Peter Mansourian said: “We are proud to support this fabulous cause and truly grateful to EEG for having given us the opportunity to do so. At the Grand Millennium Dubai we believe all of us have a responsibility towards protecting and preserving the environment.

“As a hotel we recognize the complex challenges of a growing world and strive to shrink our environmental footprint as well as fulfil our other corporate social responsibilities by supporting initiatives related to charity, community, health and safety.

“I would like to thank all members of our team for their outstanding contribution to this initiative. It would not have been possible without the support of our director of human resources Tamim Hamamah and director of housekeeping Mariana Paunescu, who make it a true success with their dedication."
