Emaar Hospitality said to eye hotels in India

UAE-based Emaar Hospitality Group, part of Emaar Properties, is considering operating hotels under its flagship brands – The Address Hotels and Resorts and Vida Hotels and Resorts – in India.

According to Indian daily The Hindu Business Line, Emaar Hospitality Group chief operating officer Philippe Zuber said: “We are open to management agreements in India and are exploring opportunities in the arena.”

He added: “We aim to bring our competencies in managing five-star premium hotels under The Address Hotels and Resorts brand, as well as boutique lifestyle hotels under the Vida Hotels and Resorts brand.”

The group has already expanded its Address Hotels and Resorts brand to Turkey, Egypt, and Nigeria, where hotels are currently under development.
