Angelina appoints Tarun Sharma as executive chef

Angelina has hired a new executive chef, Tarun Sharma, who will oversee the culinary teams in the three UAE outlets including The Dubai Mall and the soon to open Mall of the Emirates and Yas Mall branches.

Sharma has been in the UAE for more than seven years, working with Jumeirah Restaurants before he moved to Social House as the head chef.

His culinary journey started 14 years ago after he graduated with a degree in Hotel Management. He has previously worked in Delhi and London, and was a part of the opening team of The Cinnamon Club in London.

In his new role, he will oversee the culinary teams at all of Angelina’s locations. He will also be introducing a new menu for café in early 2015, which will be in accord with local palate and preferences.

Created by Antoine Rumpelmayer, Angelina first debuted at the Rue de Rivoli location, hosting high profile celebrities including Coco Chanel.
