Centro Barsha sponsors Dragon Racers for 24H Dubai

Centro Barsha by Rotana is the official accommodation partner for Dragon Racing team, and has been hosting the team across the Middle East during the racing season - from mid-September until April.

The team was in Dubai recently for the 10th running of the Hancock Dubai 24 Hours, driving Ferrari racing cars for the desert classic race, which started on January 9 and ran for 24 hours.

Each car was driven by a team of four drivers, stopping hourly to refuel, change tyres and - if required – change driver.

Centro Barsha Dubai’s general manager Eleni Tsolakou said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome back the dragon racing team for a fourth year during Hancock 24hours of Dubai 2015, which has grown to become very significant event in the sports scene of the Emirate.”

Racing and Tuition’s director Rob Barff said, “Centro is great. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff is genuinely friendly and the daily specials in the dining room are appreciated by all the team at Dragon. The gym and pool on the roof are a nice bonus – although we rarely get the chance to use them unfortunately.

"Set back from the Sheikh Zayed Road, it’s quieter than many other Al Barsha hotels yet perfectly located for our needs. We look forward to welcoming Centro staff and guests into the Dragon Racing garage at the Hancock Dubai 24 Hours.”

This year was set to see almost 80 cars on the track with the Dragon Racing team, the 2014 Hancock Dubai 24 Hours race champions.
