Ramada Hotel and Suites Ajman has appointed Prabath Chaminda as recreation manager and Manish Banerji as assistant executive housekeeper.
Iftikhar Hamdani, general manager, Ramada Beach Hotel Ajman, commented: “We are very pleased to the welcome Chaminda and Banerji to our Ramada Ajman family. We are looking forward to their contribution to our team, given their notable experience in their respective fields.”
Chaminda was previously assistant recreation manager at Miramar Al Aqah Beach Resort in Fujairah, and before that he was recreation supervisor at Six Senses Resort and Spa.
Chaminda’s main responsibility in his new role is to ensure efficient and smooth day-to-day operations of the beach and health club facilities.
He is also tasked to help maximise revenue-producing opportunities relating to the beach and health club by establishing relationship with its existing clientele and securing new leads.
Prior to moving to the UAE, Banerji was deputy housekeeper at the Leela Palace in New Delhi and he worked at the Leela Kempinski before that where he was assistant executive housekeeper.
In his new role as assistant executive housekeeper at Ramada, Banerji’s role is to assist the executive housekeeper in the supervision and smooth operation of the department.
He is also responsible in ensuring that the guests are provided with high standard of comfort by inspecting the rooms and hotel’s common areas, and coordinating with the respective departments including engineering and food and beverage.
