New executive pastry chef at The Chedi Muscat

The Chedi Muscat, Oman has appointed Gilles Wintenberger as luxury resort's the new executive pastry chef.

Wintenberger has previously worked winter seasons at the ski resort Zermatt and also has experience at the Montreux Palace hotel, Switzerland, La Croix du Sud in Corcica, and most recently, as pastry chef at the Crowne Plaza, Kuwait, where he cooked for royalty.

The Chedi Muscat general manager Markus Iseli said: “I am very pleased to welcome Gilles Wintenberger into The Chedi Muscat family. We look forward to incorporating his fresh and creative ideas, and I am sure that thanks to his experience within the GCC and hard work, our restaurants will continue to thrive and be among the best in Oman."

The Chedi Muscat's exisiting menu incorporates locally-inspired delicacies, as well as innovative, seasonal macaroons, flavoured with coffee, black sea salt with caramel, frankincense and even hazelnut with black olive.
